We are hosting an Open Day for Adults

We are hosting a dedicated adult and Part-time Course Open Day at its Old Mill Lane campus.

On Tuesday 5 December, adults can drop into the site between 4.00pm and 6.00pm and speak with knowledgeable tutors about the part-time courses available to study from January 2024.

The College offers a range of flexible part-time courses starting in the New Year, in subjects including Animal Care; Art, Design and Fashion; Business and Management; Catering and Hospitality; Childcare and Education Professions; Computing and Digital; Engineering; Hair and Beauty; Health and Social Care Professions, Photography and Sport.

They are also one of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority’s approved training providers that offer selected free Level 3 qualifications as part of the government’s Free Courses for Jobs scheme. Courses include Counselling Skills; Cybersecurity and Networking; Hairdressing; Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement; and Accounting.

The event will also provide the opportunity for visitors to find out more about the university-level courses starting in January, including Construction and Engineering.

In addition, visitors can find out more about the support services available at the College, including meeting the Student Services team for finance advice and the Information team who will be available to discuss course options.

Helen Foster, Director of Adult and Higher Skills at the College, said: “We are excited to host this event aimed solely at adults and offer them an opportunity to discuss our exciting curriculum and find a course that will help them to take the next step in their career or start a new hobby.

“Most of our subject areas have courses from entry level through to studying up to university-level, including modules or full courses within our Institute of Technology. Our study programmes are designed for anyone wanting to re-train and develop skills to maximise their earning potential and many courses can be studied around work and home commitments.”
