Our University Centre has received another impressive student satisfaction rating in the 2022/23 National Student Survey (NSS).
98.6% of students responded positively to ‘How good teaching staff are at explaining things’, which is 8% higher than the national bench mark. 96% responded positively to ‘How well has your course developed your knowledge and skills that you think you will need for your future?’ and ‘How well have teaching staff supported your learning?’.
Running across all publicly funded Higher Education (HE) institutions, the annual NSS survey gathers current students’ opinions on their courses and provides information to future students about HE colleges and universities.
The NSS is one of the largest surveys of its kind and this year considered the views of over 339,000 students across 528 universities, colleges and other Higher Education providers.
Students were asked 28 questions about a range of aspects relating to their HE experience, including the teaching on their course, learning opportunities, academic support, assessment and feedback, organisationand management, learning resources, student voice, mental wellbeing services and freedom of expression.

Many courses can be studied part-time, making them perfect for anyone wanting to fit study around work or family commitments. Students will learn in a supportive and helpful learning environment with small class sizes and are able to contact tutors easily when additional support is required.
If you want to study a degree but don’t have the right qualifications, an Access to HE course could help. These courses are designed to help you develop your knowledge within your chosen subject whilst improving your study skills and build confidence to help you get the grades required to study a higher-level course.
