Direct Entry student, Ryana Moore, will see her work on Barnsley College’s official Christmas card after winning our annual design competition.
The competition, open to all students, is always a highlight of the academic year and one which college’s management team looks forward to judging. This year was no different with a very high standard of entries, but voting produced a result in favour of Ryana and her winter wonderland design. The original design was produced with acrylic paint which was then scanned and reproduced as an electronic and printed card.
As well as seeing her design professionally printed and distributed, Ryana was presented with an Amazon Echo Dot Smart Speaker.

Ryana said: “I am really surprised I have won the competition. Thank you so much for my speaker and to everyone who voted for me! I am so happy.”
Liz Leek, Deputy Principal for Culture, Place and Communities at College added: “This was a great opportunity for our students to show their creativeness in the spirit of Christmas. I would like to wish all our students and staff a very Happy Christmas and an amazing 2023.”
