It’s a Mod Mod World with Barnsley Sime will take you on a weekly two hour journey through the best of 60s beat, ska, soul, motown, funk, reggae, 2tone and punk. Essentially what you’re likely to hear at any Mod event or scooter rally.
Sime has been an online DJ for over 15 years, starting with a show on Scooter-Forums Radio, and now runs Solid Front Radio where he does a weekly show.
He has DJd with the Rock and Roll Lounge at venues across the UK, was the Main Stage DJ at all three of Santa Pod’s Scooter and Ska Rallies, 100 Club, Quadrophenia Night at Sheffield’s O2 Academy, two London legs of March Of The Mods (MotM) for Teenage Cancer Trust, and hosted a MotM leg in Sheffield.
He has also supported many local bands, plays at various charity events, and is keen to promote new acts.
In his spare time, Sime can be found cataloguing his record collection, watching Barnsley FC and staring at his scooter wondering why it isn’t working.
