Parent Information Evening

For: Parents and Carers of Year 11 students
Date: Wednesday 25 September 2024
Location: Old Mill Lane campus, Barnsley College

Ahead of our first open event, we invite parents and carers of Year 11 students to visit College, speak to tutors, and listen to presentations to help inform them about the options available after school. Our departments are all based in our atrium and we recommend you bring potential students to one of our open days to see our facilities in full for themselves. There’s no need to book for this event, although if you can’t make it we will be holding a virtual information evening later.

FE Advisors’ Seminar

For: Careers Advisors, Careers Leads and Y11 teachers and heads of year

If you provide advice and guidance to year 11 learners about their options in Further Education, you won’t want to miss our FE Advisors Seminar. With key updates around our provision, talks from departments, tours and networking opportunities, this event is a great opportunity to learn more about what Barnsley College can offer your students. We will be sharing more information about this event later in 2025.

Virtual HE Advisors’ Seminar

For: Careers Advisors, Careers Leads and Sixth Form/College tutors

Location: Church Street – Institute of Technology

Visit our newly renovated Church Street campus, home to our Institute of Technology for our Virtual Higher Education Advisors Seminar. Providing key information and updates around options available to learners after Level 3, with flexible options across Levels 4, 5 and 6. Our provision is also a great option for adults looking to upskill, so this is a relevant event for anyone who provides advice and guidance to prospective students. We will be sharing more information about this event later in 2025.
