Our Digital and Creative students recently went on two incredible trips to Manhattan, New York and Paris, France.
Students explored iconic locations from the Statue of Liberty to the vibrant streets of Washington Square, Times Square, 5th Avenue and Soho to exploring the calmness of Central Park, the American Museum of Natural History to the great heights of the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Centre. The week in New York provided students with a unique opportunity to experience the city’s wide range of cultures and job opportunities.
Kate Redmond, a Level 3 Creative Media Production student, added: “New York 2024 was a trip that I will never forget, it opened my eyes to the world. Every element of the five days was planned perfectly there was not a dull moment throughout the entire stay. I loved every single place that we visited and even though it was absolutely exhausting, the adrenaline rush never ended.
“We were given space to have time with friends at all points in the day, yet I never felt alone or unsafe in such a big city. The three tutors that came with us, were absolutely fantastic. I made some great friends while in New York and gained some of the most treasured memories I have. I honestly couldn’t recommend this trip of a lifetime more. Thanks to the tutors, I can’t wait to go back one day.”
The students also explored Disneyland Paris, which was adventure filled with rides, characters and an opportunity to see the iconic The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands. The trip provided the students with exciting insights into future job opportunities in marketing, filming and performance, while enhancing their knowledge of French culture.
Ruby Stables, a Level 3 Creative Media Production student, said: “I learned different things about the French culture and got to see one of the most popular places that’s talked about in the media at lot. I also really enjoyed it because I was with my friends and met people from other courses too.”
