Our Construction students and staff have helped Hoyle Mill Dam Angling Club in a lake and footpath clean-up event.
“The clean-up event was a fantastic day and for such a great cause.”
Hoyle Mill Dam Angling Club, who manage Hoyle Mill Dam, contacted the College requesting for volunteers to help with the clean-up event. Staff, students, friends and family from the Construction department spent a full day of their own time helping to remove litter from the footpaths around the dam whilst scuba divers from the Dream Divers club cleaned out the lake helping to provide a clean and safe environment for visitors to enjoy.
Chelle Charlesworth, Tutorial Team Leader for Construction, organised the group from the College, said: “The College is always looking at ways in which we can help the local community. The clean-up event was a fantastic day and for such a great cause. Everyone got stuck in and it was a brilliant way to bring the community together to help clean-up the dam and its surrounding area. Thank you to everyone who was involved. They all did an amazing job!”
