Our Health and Social Care students have been working hard to make this winter a little brighter for those who need it most. They’ve shown amazing kindness and generosity as we approach Christmas.

Our Level 3 Year 1 students have really stepped up, packing thoughtful shoeboxes filled with essentials and treats to bring comfort and happiness to those who deserve it. Each box includes things like non-perishable food, toiletries, warm clothing, chocolates, and other little luxuries that can make a real difference over the festive season. This effort supports Action for Barnsley Homeless, making sure that no one is left without something special this Christmas.

At the same time, our Level 1 and 2 students have shown what it really means to give. They’ve collected an incredible 117 selection boxes for vulnerable students at Queens Road Academy. Their teamwork and kindness are a great reminder of what the holidays are all about—looking out for each other and spreading joy in our community.

The Health Department is so proud of all the students involved. Their hard work and care have made a huge impact this festive season, showing that even small acts of kindness can bring a lot of happiness to those who need it most.

Well done to everyone involved—you’ve really captured the true spirit of Christmas!
