Talent United, the employer engagement initiative that we run, will host a free masterclass on Wednesday 29 September, 9.30am to 11.30am.
Tracy Rodgers of Barnsley-based legal firm, MKB Solicitors, will be delivering the event for employers. Tracy will present on accidents at work and how businesses can conduct investigations.
Tracy said: “I was inspired to work in the law as I have always been interested in the workings of it and have a desire to fight for justice for ordinary people. I find one of the most rewarding aspects of the job is to achieve successful outcomes and make a real difference to peoples’ lives. I’m delighted to have been invited to deliver a masterclass at Barnsley College, I hope it is the first of many.”
During the masterclass, Tracy will explain personal injury claims in detail and work with attendees to ensure they fully understand accident investigations and how they can better equip themselves and their workforce with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct fair processes.
Jess Widdowson, Enterprise Team Leader, said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming Tracy to our masterclass series. Our regular partner-led masterclasses address a variety of themes and are designed to develop key skills. They are free and open to all, bringing local businesses together with College staff and students.”
We are working with businesses to lead the economic recovery and meet employers’ needs, both now and for future roles, by providing students and adults with the skills to succeed.
