About the event
We are hosting a Spring Show at our Wigfield Farm campus on Thursday 20 April 2023, 10.00am until 3.00pm, featuring animal showing, live talks and opportunities to meet some of our adorable new arrivals.
Our students will take to the stage and showcase what the farm has on offer.

10.00am: Doors open to the public
10.30am: Equine Show
11.00am: Guinea Pig Show
12.00pm: Poultry Show
12.00pm: Rabbit Show
1.00pm: Sheep Show
3.00pm: Doors close for the public
Interactive sessions taking place on the day*
If you’d like to get up and close with our animals, come along to our interactive sessions that are being held throughout the day.
Handle the Reptiles
• Session 1: 10.30am – 12.00pm
• Session 2: 1.30pm – 3.00pm
Meet the Lambs
• Session 1: 10.30am – 12.00pm
• Session 2: 1.30pm – 3.00pm
Feed the Meerkats
• Session 1: 10.15am
• Session 2: 2.15pm
There will also be independent craft and gift stalls, and food and drink will be available.
The event will take place at our Wigfield Farm campus, Haverlands Lane, Barnsley, S70 5NQ.
The admission price for the farm is £2 per person with free entry for children under the age of two.
We offer a range of full and part-time vocational courses and apprenticeships in Animal Management and Horticulture, including Animal Management Foundation Degree (FdSc) and Level 2 Horticulture (Professional Gardening).
