We offer four Free College Bus Services. The bus routes are FREE for you if you are a student at Barnsley College, Barnsley College University Centre or Barnsley Sixth Form College. At this time, the buses are running on a “first-come, first-served” basis and students do not need to book a place to access these services. Each route will operate in the morning in order to get you into College before lessons start and a return service will operate from Old Mill Lane at the end of the day.
There are a number of different financial support schemes on offer for students studying at Barnsley College. These can help to cover some travel costs, study programme essentials, and a contribution towards food allowance and childcare support. Please be aware that students are not automatically entitled to funding, an application form and proof of household income should be submitted for assessment.
You can view the available bursaries and the eligibility criteria on our Financial Support page.
