You will complete coursework which will be assessed throughout the year. If you are studying English and/or Maths GCSE qualifications, then these will be assessed through year and you will undertake formal exams at the end of the year.
You can start this course at any time. Classes are held 9:30am-12:30pm on either a Monday or a Wednesday. The course duration will be individualised for each student.
There are no entry requirements to be able to study this course. You must be aged 16-18 years old or 16-24 years if you hold an EHCP.
If you don’t hold English and Maths qualifications prior to starting this course, then you will study these as part of your programme.
College certificate and Maths and English at an appropriate level, depending on individual students.

This one year community based level 1 study programme is for students who wish to engage with education but are not yet ready to do so in a larger college environment. This programme will run in small groups and will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed in order to access further study within the College environment. Enrolment will be ongoing throughout the year.
