You will carry out practical assessments, written tasks and online exams.
This course will start on Tuesday 10 September 2024. It will run on Tuesday evenings 5pm - 8.30pm for 33 weeks (not including the 2 weeks in December when college is closed). It will end on Tuesday 17 June 2025.
You will need:
Level 2 Vocational Training Charitable Trust Beauty Specialist Techniques Certificate.

On this course, you will develop your knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for success within the beauty industry.
This course has a compulsory six weeks introductory period, from when it starts, that will cover important skills and knowledge necessary for progression during the course.

You will be required to purchase an essential equipment kit and uniform before starting the course. The kit and uniform will cost approximately £231.90 and can be purchased from the department supplier. The department staff will provide you with details of how you can order if you choose to come and enrol.
On completion of the programme, you may wish to progress onto a Level 3 Beauty Therapy course.
This course costs £750. There may be funding available for this course – please see the ‘Eligibility for Funding’ drop-down below for more details. The introductory period, which must be completed, costs £85. There is no funding available for the introductory period, so all learners must pay this fee.
We have a state-of-the-art fitness village, Honeywell Sports Village where students can make use of our fitness suite, spinning studio and classes for competitive rates.
Part-time courses are only available for learners who are 19 years old and above. You may not have to pay for this course if you are employed but earn below £23,400 a year, or if you are unemployed and receive Job Seekers Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit. You will need to provide evidence of your eligibility which will be checked at enrolment.
This course is funded by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) and/or West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA). You must be living in the South or West Yorkshire regions to qualify for funding.
