The course will start on 25 September and will run for 8 weeks every Wednesday between 6.00pm and 8.30pm (term-time only).
A general interest in Graphic Design is required, this course is suitable for beginners.
There is no qualification with this course.
The course is aimed at those who are new to Graphic Design and want to explore the basics of professional Adobe software packages. Over an 8-week period you will develop a variety of techniques and a basic introduction to the Adobe platform to apply skills to develop graphic design concepts in type, layout and print.
Do you want to use technology to create professional graphics? Suitable for beginners, this course will help you get started in creating images for the web and print, using the Adobe platform and beginning to understand how graphic design is used across a wide range of media.
This course is not assessed but tutor support will be provided where needed.
All equipment will be provided but it is suggested you bring a notepad and pen and a USB Drive to save your work. You will be provided with a college student account that will give you access to the Adobe Creative Cloud software for the duration of the course.
You may want to continue studying other Art and Design or Media courses at Barnsley College.
This course costs £180. There is no funding available for this course so all learners must pay this fee.
