These qualifications are aimed at practising or aspiring managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. The primary role of a practising or aspiring manager and leader is to lead and manage individuals and teams to deliver aims and objectives in line with organisational strategy. Role and responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to, developing teams and individuals, creating operational plans, planning and managing projects, managing change, managing finance, resources and identifying new approaches to business activities, managing quality and continuous improvement as well as managing the human resources function.

This course is classroom based and sessions happen 9.30am – 12.30am on Friday mornings roughly every month.
To study the Diploma, you must have the Award and Certificate qualifications first.

This course is offered on the part-time basis. An applicant can start on the Award and, if they wish to, continue onto the certificate and then onto the diploma.

Each unit is delivered as a taught session, except for Using Reflective Practice to Inform Personal and Professional Development. Each unit has a structured assignment that you must complete.
The course works on a roll on roll off basis, so you can enrol to the course at various times throughout the year. You will get the opportunity to interact and network with peers from a range of industries, sharing ideas and best practice, creating a learning environment where innovation can thrive.
Assignments will be completed and submitted online via the CMI learning portal. You will also have 1-1 support from your Trainer via telephone, email and video conferencing, as required.

You may wish to further your ongoing personal and professional development by accessing other CMI qualifications, such as the CMI Level 7 Qualifications in Management and Leadership with the goal of becoming a Chartered Manager.
Course fees are as follows; The CMI Level 5 Award is £350. There is no funding available so applicants must pay the full cost. The CMI Level 5 Certificate is £650. There is no funding available so all applicants must pay the full cost. The CMI Level 5 Diploma has a fee of £724. Learners can take out an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost of the course To achieve the Level 5 Diploma in full will cost £1,724 if you do not previously have the Award and Certificate qualifications.
