This course is planned to run in January 2025. The course will run on a Wednesday and start at 5:30pm and finish at 8:30pm for 10 weeks (term time only).
Understanding Domestic Retrofit – Level 2

This course will teach you the basic principles of domestic retrofit, enabling you to identify necessary materials and interpret specific information for work activities. You will gain an understanding of relevant legislation, emergency response, and routine reporting procedures. Furthermore, you will acquire knowledge about the main types of documents used, organizational structures, and practical skills required for basic domestic retrofit installations.
You will study different units to develop:

You may decide to progress on to the Level 3 course – Construction: Certificate in Retrofit Advisor Level 3 City and Guilds | Barnsley College
You could progress on to higher study, including HN Flex modules. You may also want to explore other part-time courses for adults.
This course costs £195. Funding may be available.

Part-time courses are only available for learners who are 19 years old and above.
