This course will start in January 2025. The course will start at 9am and finish at 4pm and run for 5 weeks (term time only).
You must be 19 years old or above to study this course.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, ideally you will have an interest in sustainability and the construction industry.
This course is suitable for those working in the industry or planning to undertake a job/career as a sustainability officer/Environmental officer.

In this programme, you will learn about sustainability and the green environment. The course will cover factors impacting our environment, sustainability and its affecting factors, short-and long-term impacts of climate change, and managing carbon emissions. It is designed to help you understand sustainable practices for various job roles and is useful for those interested in sustainability or responsible for it within their organizations. This will provide valuable insights into environmental preservation.
Unit 201 – Sustainability and the Green Environment
LO1 Understand factors impacting on our environment
LO2 Understand sustainability and factors affecting it
LO3 Understand the short and long term impacts of climate change
LO4 Understand the effects of carbon emissions and how they can be managed
You will need to bring basic stationery items for the theory sessions. All other equipment is provided.
