Your qualification will be assessed through the building of a portfolio of evidence; this could take the form of written assessments, presentations, group work.
This course is due to start on 28th November 2024 on Thursdays 4:30pm - 8:30pm. The course is expected to take 14 weeks to complete.
You should be at least 19 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements.

The purpose of this qualification is to increase your knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health.
By completing the qualification, you will develop your knowledge of:
• Children and young people’s mental health in context
• Mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people
• The impact of mental ill-health on children and young people
• Support available to maintain mental wellbeing in children and young people
You must complete all of the mandatory units:
• Unit 1: Understand children and young people’s mental health in context
• Unit 2: Understand factors which may affect children and young people’s mental health
• Unit 3: Understand children and young people’s mental health concerns
• Unit 4: Understand the impact of children and young people’s mental health concerns
• Unit 5: Understand how to support children and young people with mental health concerns
