This apprenticeship starts in May 2024. It takes 12 months to complete (excluding the End-point Assessment duration).
There are no prior qualifications needed to enrol on this course but English and Maths GCSE at grade C/4 is desirable.
Early Intervention Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.
This apprenticeship will develop knowledge and skills needed when working in statutory or voluntary organisations when providing person-centred, early intervention approaches and services to support individuals across all age ranges, from pre-birth to end of life.
An Early Intervention Practitioner is responsible for identifying and sourcing the right intervention at the right time in an individual’s life to achieve mutually agreed outcomes. They work in many different environments within the community depending on the types of individuals they are supporting and may visit an individual in their home environment or meet in a neutral location of the individual’s choosing.
Early Intervention Practitioners offer practical help and emotional support to individuals experiencing a range of problems to help them overcome concerns or barriers impacting their daily lives, such as alcohol, drug or gambling misuse, behavioural issues, mobility issues and learning difficulties. They provide impartial information, advice, support and guidance to individuals and others impacted by the individual’s circumstances, such as their family and friends.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will learn safeguarding, managing early intervention cases, conflict management, theoretical perspectives, referral management and reflective practice.

You will require access to a computer to complete and upload assignments onto the Aptem system.
After completing this apprenticeship typical progression routes are Assistant Social Worker, Early Intervention Advisor, Pastoral and School Inclusion Officer, Family Support Worker and various other roles.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 – 19 and don’t already have a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths they will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards higher grades in English and Maths we can help you do that too.
Need a higher level Maths qualification? We offer a Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths).

Delivery Model: Face-to-face delivery will be in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Online courses can be delivered nationwide and delivery will take place every four weeks.
