Free College Bus Services

For the academic year 2023/2024

At this time, the buses are running on a “first-come, first-served” basis and students do not need to book a place to access these services.

If you would like to register your interest for the next academic year (2024/25), please use the following form: College Free Bus 2024/25

View the routes below:

  • Route A: South Elmsall > Barnsley College (Old Mill Lane), via Hemsworth, Fitzwilliam, Crofton and Ryhill (South Elmsall Bus Map)

The bus routes are FREE for you if you are a student at Barnsley College, Barnsley College Higher Education or Barnsley Sixth Form College.

Each route will operate in the morning in order to get you into college before lessons start and a return service will operate from Old Mill Lane at the end of the day. On the maps provided, there are alternative modes of transport, in case students are unable to get the free bus for any reason.
